My arms are aching for my little boy
My heart is breaking for my little boy
Those blue eyes with that amber twinkle
Full of life with such a sparkle
No more for my little boy Sammy
The lifetime of dreams
What was his legacy?
The love he gave to me
That flashing grin
It's all I have left of him
From my little boy Sammy
He wanted a recording contract
Strumming his guitar
Making music
To songs from his heart
The beautiful paintings
So full of color and promise
The gentle being of his soul
From such a little boy Sammy
Trailblazing with his pony
Making memories with his mommy
In that black cowboy hat
He was all that
But now the trails are empty
Leaving a pony questioning
Where is his little boy Sammy
I don't know how to move on
As time continues living
Memories of him
Pulling me back to the present
I just want to call him home
Oh, I'm so lost without my little boy Sammy
Time will surely heal
The emptiness and pain I feel
And memories soothe
Beckoning the joy of
10 years shared
A lifetime of love
With my little boy Sammy
